Priest of Tyr (Cleric Kit)¶
Tyr is the deity of law and justice, primarily concerned with the punishment of wrongdoers and the general furthering of law and good in the world. Belief in justice through (benevolent) force is the reason for Tyr's existence. Tyr holds great prominence in the pantheon as leader of the Triad — a trio of lawful good gods collectively devoted to courage, justice, perseverance, relief of suffering, duty, obedience, honor, and righteous martyrdom.
Advantages¶
- May cast Exaltation once per day, +1 use every 5 levels.
- Exaltation: By touch, the priest aids one being other than themselves — removes fear, sleep, feeblemindedness, unconsciousness, intoxication, berserk, and confused states; protects against attacks causing these effects for 1 turn.
- May cast Divine Favor once per day, +1 use every 10 levels.
- Divine Favor: Grants the caster +1 to-hit and damage per 3 caster levels for 2 rounds.
Disadvantages¶
- Alignment restricted to lawful good, neutral good, or lawful neutral.
When to pick it¶
- Exaltation is a fantastic emergency cleanser — one of the few effects that removes feeblemind and confusion in a single cast.
- Divine Favor's scaling bonus turns a Priest of Tyr into a serious melee threat at high levels.
