Beetles

Oddly enough, a number of beetles inhabit the North. They range from:

  • Small fire beetles — invaded the cellars of Apsel's house in Easthaven last winter.
  • Giant beetles — larger and more dangerous.
  • Bombardier beetles — explosive variant.

These creatures tend to lair deep in caves or in cellars. The presence of the great oak of Kuldahar and its warmth may somehow draw them to the region.

Their armoured hides make them difficult to hit, and they can usually take several blows from a sword or staff before dying.
