Ranger¶
The Ranger is a warrior of the woods, skilled with weapons and knowledgeable in the ways of the forest. The Ranger often protects and guides lost travelers and honest peasant folk. They need to be strong and wise to live a full life.
Class features¶
- May wear helmets.
- May wear any armor and use any weapon.
- May not exceed Specialization (two slots) in any weapon class.
- May achieve Specialization (two slots) in any fighting style.
- Begins Specialized (two slots) in Two-Weapon Style and may place a third slot into it.
- May select a Racial Enemy, granting a +4 bonus to hit and damage rolls against the chosen race.
- May use the Tracking ability at will (once per round) to detect creatures that have recently passed through the area.
- May use Charm Animal once per day, +1 use every 2 levels — a single animal that fails a Save vs. Rod/Staff/Wand serves under the Ranger's direction for 1 turn.
- May use Hide in Shadows while wearing no armor, leather armor, or studded leather armor.
- May cast druidic spells starting at level 6.
- Alignment: restricted to good.
- Hit Die: d10.
- Prime Requisites for Dual-Classing: Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom.
Kits¶
- Archer — bow Grandmastery and Called Shot
- Stalker — Backstab, stealth bonuses, three arcane spells at 12th
- Beast Master — Find Familiar (pseudo-dragon / fairy dragon), Animal Summoning chain, no metal weapons
