Kuldahar Valley

If you've never been to Kuldahar, and few have, then be prepared for one of the greatest visions the North has to offer.Hrothgar

Kuldahar is one of the wonders of the North — the entire town lies wrapped around a great oak from which warmth springs, the heat sufficient to melt the snows around it and create a climate more to a southerner's liking. The roots of the oak give shelter to the numerous buildings of the town.

Notable establishments

The Evening Shade

Run by Eidan, a pleasant fellow — Kuldahar's primary tavern.

The Root Cellar

Run by Whitcomb and his handful of barmaids. (Greet Amelia for Hrothgar should you find your way here for a tankard.)

Gerth's Equipment Shoppe

Run by Gerth — a minor historian. He'll pay good coin for trinkets, documents, or books. He and Everard trade information on occasion, including news of magical relics lost somewhere in the region (see Magical Items).

Airship

In the shade of the great oak — a strange device that serves as the residence of Fiddlebender, an odd gnome alchemist who sells potions and antidotes.

Tower of Orrick the Gray

A tower within the town that houses Orrick the Gray, a mage of some knowing. He keeps to his own affairs but is said to deal in magic items.

Hjollder's House

A long-abandoned shack near the Ilmatari temple where Hjollder, a shaman from a distant barbarian homeland, has been lodging. It is whispered that he seeks powerful heroes for an unknown purpose.

Temple of Ilmater

Devoted to the Crying God — deity of endurance, suffering, and perseverance.

Conlan's Smithy

The town smithy, run by Conlan.

Arundel's House

The home of Arundel, archdruid of Kuldahar and protector of the great oak.

Urnst the Potter

A local potter's shop and home.

Road to the Vale of Shadows

The exit toward the Vale of Shadows to the northeast.
