Transmuter (Mage Kit)

A Mage who specializes in magic that alters physical reality — polymorphs, haste, stoneskin, and shape-shape transformations.

Advantages

  • May memorize one additional spell of each level per day (once that level is unlocked).
  • Specializes in the Alteration school.

Disadvantages

  • Opposed schools: Abjuration, Necromancy — cannot scribe or cast any spell from these schools.

When to pick it

  • Alteration is one of the broadest schools, covering Haste, Stoneskin, Polymorph Self, Tenser's Transformation, and Time Stop.
  • Losing Abjuration removes most of the dispel-and-counter toolkit — you'll rely on other casters for Remove Magic and Spell Shield.
